President's Message
A message from the President of Kuki Inpi Manipur to the community.

Ajang Khongsai
Dear Kuki-Zo Brothers and Sisters,
Warm greetings to each one of you.
As I write this message, my heart is filled with both sorrow and hope—sorrow for the pain our people have endured, and hope because of the extraordinary resilience that continues to define us as a people.
The past few years have been among the most difficult chapters in our history. We have witnessed the loss of precious lives, the destruction of homes and villages, the displacement of families, and the uncertainty of not knowing what tomorrow may bring.
Many of our people continue to live away from their homes, carrying the burden of grief, trauma, and unanswered questions. Behind every statistic is a family that has suffered, a child whose future has been disrupted, a mother who worries for her children, and an elder who longs to see peace return to the land of our ancestors.
Yet, even in the midst of these trials, I have seen something remarkable. I have seen our people stand together when circumstances sought to divide us. I have seen communities open their hearts and homes to those in need. I have seen young people step forward in service, churches become centres of hope, and ordinary men and women display extraordinary courage. These acts remind us that while our villages may have been burned, our spirit has not been broken.
Today, the Kuki-Zo people stand at a historic crossroads. The challenges before us are complex, and the road ahead may not be easy. However, our aspiration remains clear—to secure a future where our people can live in peace, safety, dignity, and freedom in our ancestral homeland. It is this aspiration that underpins our collective demand for a Union Territory with Legislature, pursued through democratic, constitutional, and peaceful means. This is not merely a political demand; it is the expression of a people's desire for security, justice, and a future free from fear.
As President of Kuki Inpi Manipur, I want to assure every Kuki-Zo individual that your apex body remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguard the interests of our people. We will continue to engage with all stakeholders, advocate for our legitimate rights, and work tirelessly toward a just and lasting solution. We owe this responsibility not only to ourselves but also to the generations yet to come.
At this crucial moment, I appeal to all our people to remain united. Let us not allow differences of tribe, denomination, organisation, or political opinion to weaken our collective strength. History has taught us that whenever the Kuki-Zo people have stood together with one voice and one purpose, we have overcome even the greatest challenges.
This website has been created as a bridge between our people and their leadership—a platform where information, history, culture, and aspirations can be shared and preserved. It belongs to every Kuki-Zo individual. Through it, we hope to strengthen communication, foster understanding, and ensure that the story of our people is told truthfully and with dignity.
As we journey through these uncertain times, let us draw strength from our faith, wisdom from our elders, and courage from the sacrifices of those who came before us. Let us hold firmly to the belief that brighter days lie ahead. Though the night may seem long, dawn will come.
May God bless every Kuki-Zo family, guide our leaders, protect our people, and grant us a future marked by peace, justice, and dignity.
With sincere prayers and warm regards,
Pu Ch.Ajang Khongsai
President, Kuki Inpi Manipur
