Kuki Inpi Manipur condemned the Leilon Vaiphei bombing and demanded immediate action, accountability, and stronger security measures to protect civilians.

Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has strongly condemned the bombing of Leilon Vaiphei village, describing the incident as a serious threat to civilian safety and public security. The organization has called upon the Government and security agencies to take immediate and decisive action against those responsible.

According to KIM, the attack took place on June 15, 2026, and endangered innocent lives, caused damage to civilian properties, and disrupted peace in the area. The organization stated that such acts of violence against civilian populations are unacceptable and undermine the rule of law.

Expressing concern over the recurring incidents of violence, KIM questioned the continued freedom enjoyed by armed groups allegedly involved in creating fear and insecurity in the region. The organization warned that delays in action or failure to hold perpetrators accountable could further erode public confidence and encourage future attacks.

KIM emphasized that the people of Leilon Vaiphei and surrounding villages should not be forced to live under constant fear while threats to their safety persist. The organization maintained that protecting civilians must remain the foremost priority of the Government and security agencies.

The organization therefore urged the authorities to immediately identify, arrest, and prosecute all individuals involved in the attack. It also called for enhanced security arrangements in vulnerable areas to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Reiterating that justice and accountability are essential for lasting peace, KIM stressed that meaningful peace cannot be achieved unless those responsible for violence are brought before the law. The organization urged the Government to act without further delay and restore confidence among affected communities.
