KIM Demands Justice After Loibol Khullen Killings and Arson

Kuki Inpi Manipur condemned the Loibol Khullen attack, demanding justice, accountability, and stronger protection for vulnerable villages and civilians.
Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has strongly condemned the deadly attack on Loibol Khullen village in Kangpokpi district, which claimed the lives of three civilians and left several homes destroyed. The organization has demanded an immediate investigation, accountability for the perpetrators, and enhanced security measures for vulnerable villages.
According to KIM, the attack was carried out in the early hours of the morning by heavily armed cadres allegedly belonging to NSCN-IM and its proxy group ZUF (K). The assault reportedly began at around 4:00 AM and resulted in the deaths of Mr. Letkhongam Haokip, Mrs. Tinmary Haokip, and Mr. Jangminlal Haokip. Seven houses were also reportedly burned down, causing extensive damage to civilian properties.
Condemning the incident, KIM described the attack as a grave act of violence against unarmed civilians and stated that the deliberate targeting of innocent people and destruction of homes could not be justified under any circumstances. The organization emphasized that such actions represent a serious violation of human dignity and fundamental human rights.
KIM extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with the residents of Loibol Khullen. The organization stated that the loss of innocent lives and the destruction suffered by the village had deeply affected the entire Kuki-Zo community.
Calling for urgent action, KIM urged the Government of India and relevant security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into the incident, identify and apprehend those responsible, and ensure that justice is delivered without delay. The organization also appealed for immediate measures to strengthen security in vulnerable villages and prevent similar attacks in the future.
KIM further stressed that those responsible for the killings and destruction must be held fully accountable under the law. Reaffirming its commitment to protecting the rights and safety of the community, the organization called upon the authorities to uphold the rule of law and ensure the security of innocent civilians living in conflict-affected areas.
