Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) vehemently condemns the barbaric attack perpetrated by heavily armed cadres of NSCN-IM and its proxy ZUF (K) at Loibol Khullen, Kangpokpi District, beginning at around 4:00 AM on 5 June 2026.

According to reports, the attack resulted in the tragic killing of three innocent civilians from Loibol Khullen — Mr. Letkhongam Haokip, his wife Mrs. Tinmary Haokip, and Mr. Jangminlal Haokip — while seven houses were reduced to ashes and substantial damage was inflicted upon civilian properties.

KIM unequivocally denounces this barbaric act of violence against unarmed civilians. The deliberate killing of innocent persons and destruction of homes and livelihoods constitute a serious violation of human dignity and fundamental human rights. Such targeting of civilians can never be justified under any circumstances.

The organisation extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and expresses unwavering solidarity with the affected residents of Loibol Khullen village. The loss of innocent lives and destruction suffered have caused immense grief to the entire Kuki-Zo community.

Kuki Inpi Manipur calls upon the Government of India and concerned security agencies to immediately initiate a thorough investigation into the incident, apprehend the perpetrators, and ensure that justice is delivered without delay. It further urges authorities to take urgent measures to safeguard vulnerable villages and prevent further attacks on civilians.

The organisation reiterates that the perpetrators of this crime must be held fully accountable under the law. It emphasizes the need to uphold the rule of law and protect the lives and properties of innocent people.

Kuki Inpi Manipur also states that it shall not be held responsible for any consequences arising from this heinous crime against its people.

Monday, June 22, 2026

The organisation stated that three individuals sustained critical injuries during the security response and accused the government of ignoring the concerns of the public. KI-SWSH further alleged that the ongoing communal tensions were initiated by NSCN-IM and the ZUF-Kamson faction and stated that public agitation would continue until action is taken against those it considers responsible.

Kuki Inpi Manipur Strongly Condemns Targeted Harassment of Villagers and Misuse of Combing Operations

Sunday, June 21, 2026

Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) strongly condemns what it describes as continuous harassment of Kuki-Zo villagers by Central Security Forces under the guise of combing operations, particularly in Leilon Vaiphei and surrounding areas. KIM alleges that aggressive military-style actions, including cordon-and-search operations and house-to-house raids, are being carried out against civilians already affected by violence and economic blockade. The organisation also highlights the ongoing blockade of essential supplies and demands immediate restoration of lifelines, cessation of civilian harassment, and deployment of security forces to clear national highways instead of targeting villages.
